Basket Lattice

Learn this great new technique from local artist, Sheri Pape. There is a secret to making a traditional basket lattice quilt using 2 ½” strips and we are going to share the secret. Students will make a 22” square table cover in class to learn and practice this technique. This project is good for anyone with basic quilt making skills.

Binding - 3 Ways

Students will learn to miter the ends of your binding, make 2-sided binding and binding with a flange that makes hand stitching a thing of the past. Students will use the Shortcut Binding tool in class.

Daylight Stitching at Sunshine Stitches

Spend the day stitching at Sunshine Stitches. This is open sewing – you can’t do laundry, clean the house, or any of the other things that interfere with our stitching! We will provide beverages and great company!

Mini Northern Lights

Make a 13” x 16 ½” “mini” quilt using the Mini Hex n More Ruler and the Northern Lights pattern by Jaybird Quilts. This is a great way to try out the Hex n More without committing to a full size project. This is also a great opportunity to whittle down your stash. This project takes 8 strips of fabric 1 ½” x 42”, 1/8 yard for binding and a fat quarter for backing.

Moonlight Stitching at Sunshine Stitches

Spend a Friday night stitching at Sunshine Stitches. This is open sewing from 5:00 pm until 11:00 pm. We will provide beverages and great company!

Scrappy Pineapple

This is a great way to use up scraps. This pattern uses 1 ¾” strips to create a fun pineapple design using the Pineapple Trim Tool by Creative Grids. Students will cut and bring 1 ¾” strips from their stash to use in class.

Six Pack Fat Quarter Bags

Using the book “Fat Quarter Bags”, Brooke will teach a different bag on the 3rd Saturday in Jan, Mar, May, July, Sept, and Nov in 2014. Brooke will choose which pattern you will be doing every other month and you choose 6 fat quarters. A great way to spend time with old friends or come and make some new ones.

T-Shirt Quilt I

This is one of the most popular quilts of all time and is a great way to save those t-shirts that make you smile every time you see them. This class will show you how to plan out your quilt, how to prepare the shirts, and how to crop and cut the shirts. Even though these quilts look hard, this project is great for beginners.

Clubs

Embroidery Club

Each month our club will include a 30-40 minute video outlining a project and new techniques for that month. After the video participants have the option of staying around and stitching out one of the projects outlined in the video. Cost of the club will be $10 each month and will include all of the patterns used in the lesson for that month and participants can come to BOTH sessions. Kits will be available for participants to purchase or you are welcome to bring your own fabric and stabilizer. We will offer 2 club times each month, both with a different project. Plan on attending one or both of the club times. Sign up to receive monthly reminders that will show the projects for each month as well as a list of supplies needed for each project.
