Basket Lattice

Learn this great new technique from local artist, Sheri Pape. There is a secret to making a traditional basket lattice quilt using 2 ½” strips and we are going to share the secret. Students will make a 22” square table cover in class to learn and practice this technique. This project is good for anyone with basic quilt making skills.

Beginning Quilting - Adults

This six week class teaches “classic” quilt blocks like the Triple Rail, the Log Cabin, Churn Dash and the Ohio Star as well as 5 other blocks that make up the 12-block sampler quilt. Students will learn how to select fabrics, use a rotary cutter, chain piece, strip piece and add borders. The class is for the true beginner or for someone interested in freshening up their skills.

Daylight Stitching at Sunshine Stitches

Spend the day stitching at Sunshine Stitches. This is open sewing – you can’t do laundry, clean the house, or any of the other things that interfere with our stitching! We will provide beverages and great company!

Mini Disco

Make a 13 x 16 mini quilt using the Mini Hex n More Ruler and the Mini Disco pattern by Jaybird Quilts. This is a great way to try out the Hex n More without committing to a full size project. This is also a great opportunity to whittle down your stash. This project takes 30 5 squares, 1/8 yard for binding and a fat quarter for backing.

Nested Gems

Using the Creative Grids Sweet N Sassy Rhombus Template along with 2 ½” strips you can make 3 colored diamond blocks that then set on point for a quilt that is stunning. You need to see our store sample to really appreciate how pretty this quilt is. This is a two session class.

Six Pack Fat Quarter Bags

Using the book “Fat Quarter Bags”, Brooke will teach a different bag on the 3rd Saturday in Jan, Mar, May, July, Sept, and Nov in 2014. Brooke will choose which pattern you will be doing every other month and you choose 6 fat quarters. A great way to spend time with old friends or come and make some new ones.
